Frozen Food Innovations, #1

I came across this product on a recent visit to Winco, the local "bag-it-yourself" grocery chain. I was intrigued, took a shot with my camera phone, and promoptly sent it to my sisters. Wow! This is the greatest thing since Uncrustables, Smuckers' frozen PB&J sandwiches sans crusts. I have always thought that cutting a bagel and spreading cream cheese on it myself took far too much time, and with this product I will worry no more. Much like Mr. Show's mustardayonaise, Bagel-fuls are a real time saver! And their strong resemblance to Twinkies doesn't hurt, either...

When I think authentic bagel, I think Kraft.

Do they make a lox version?

If it's filled for you, it isn't a shmear, and therefore unauthentic!

By the way, reminds me of that pancakes and sausage on a stick that Jon Stewart is always talking about.

Hi T! You should have been the first to know about this item. You're slippin', lady!

Yes, Brian, Kraft makes an authentic lox. It's called simply "canned salmon" but it's deliciously close to the real thing.

Morsel: inauthentic? Whatever! Next you'll tell me that canned salmon isn't the same as lox....

On your sort-of recommendation, I bought these (found a dollar-off coupon too, pow!). Got the chive. Since I prepared it in the microwave, it was more like a soft pretzel than a bagel. It wasn't bad, other than I had heartburn like a motherfucker for a half-hour afterwards, and I never get heartburn (except from eating bananas, go fig).
I would perhaps recommend Bagel-fulls, but for the fact that Kraft is devilish, racist, and very, very, very devilish.

Ha! Paul, I'm so glad someone else bought these so I didn't have to. It was almost like the gods were leading you to them, what with the coupon and all. If I keep looking for new and exciting taste innovations, will you be the official tester?
